Jenna earned her undergraduate degree from the University of Florida in Gainesville. She received her B.A. in Criminology, with a minor in Psychology. Jenna was a member of the Criminology and Law Honor Society at the University of Florida.
Jenna received her Juris Doctorate from Stetson University College of Law in Gulfport, Florida. She earned a certificate for Concentration in Advocacy. While at Stetson, Jenna held the title of Deputy Chief Ambassador and participated in many on and off campus events. Jenna also served as the Vice President for the Florida Association of Women Lawyers at Stetson (FAWLS) and was a member of the Student Bar Association where she served as Co-Chair for the Event Planning Committee.
Jenna completed an internship at the Public Defender’s Office for the Sixth Judicial Circuit, where she then began her professional career. She worked as a government defense attorney for seven years. In the early part of her career Jenna handled hundreds of misdemeanor cases, many of which were DUI and simple battery charges. She was quickly promoted to represent clients charged with felonies ranging from Grand Theft and driving related offenses, to high profile cases including DUI with serious bodily injury and DUI manslaughter, as well as Capital Sexual Battery and First Degree Murder. Jenna has years of experience litigating complex criminal cases such as lewd and lascivious battery/molestation, armed bank robbery, and drug trafficking.
Jenna was honored to be chosen to be part of the Capital Case Trial Division, a team of trial attorneys who represent individuals charged with Capital Murder for which the State seeks the death penalty. Due to her knowledge, dedication, and zealous advocacy, she has successfully defended clients in jury trials and negotiated thousands of favorable dispositions in her career. This experience has given Jenna invaluable insight into the workings of the State Attorney’s Office as well as many police agencies and other state departments.
